Clay Pottery & Sculpture

AM Class: Relief & In-the-Round Sculpture  Students will learn hand building techniques such as slab rolling, modelling, carving and glazing while creating a multi-panel relief sculpture and a sculpture in the round.  The relief sculpture will be created from multiple panels that will fit together like a pieces of a puzzle and will be displayed on a wall.  Using carving techniques they will create in "inside out" sculpture in the round (that can be viewed from all sides) using clay.

PM Class: Raku Clay Pottery  Create spectacular clay works of art using a prismatic glazing & firing technique called raku.  Students will fire their ceramics peices outdoors using raku firing techniques that involve fire torches and smoke!  Students will work with both hand building and pottery wheel throwing techniques in this series of classes.

July 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Cost: Full Day Camp $150 for Members or $225 for Non-Members; Half Day Class $75 for Members or $112.50 for Non-Members.
