Clay Sculpture & Ceramics

AM Class: Functional Forms with Clay  Students will work with both hand building and wheel throwing techniques in this series of classes that will teach students how to make functional objects they can actually use.  Projects will include hand built boxes and tiles and bowls, mugs and cups made on the pottery wheel.  Students will learn the properties of clay, form and design, carving and texture, and glazing techniques.

PM Class: Clay Sculpture, Underwater Ceramics Create a series of ceramics pieces inspired by the interesting plants and animals found underwater.  Students will gain inspiration by looking at sea reefs, coral, fish, squid and other creatures.  Students will create their own sculptures by using hand building, carving, modeling and glazing technques explored throughout the week.

Cost: Full Day/Full Week $150 for Members or $225 for Non-Members; Half Day Classes $75 for Members or $112.50 for Non-Members
