Week 9:  Art, Design & Technology with Dayton Diode

Art, Design and Technology Immerse yourself in the new world of 2D/2.5D and 3D design, digital fabrication and physical computing! Use these new skills to learn how to engage in and shape your world with art, design and technology.  You’ll use your creativity while working on your feet and learning essential 21st century tools.

AM: Discover 3D printing and how 3D printing is changing the future.  We'll follow the same processes an industrial designer goes through to create a product: sketch your ideas out on paper, turn your sketch into a 3D model in CAD programs on a computer, and then bring your idea to life by 3D printing your 3D model.  Class size limited to 12 students.  Register early!

PM: Create an interactive sculpture that makes sound or changes light by waiving your hand over it.  You'll design your sculpture and will create it out of wood.  You will also create a circuit that connects with LED Lights or Speakers that create an interactive experience.  Class size limited to 12 students.  Register early!
