Week 8: Raku Clay Pottery & Sculpture

AM: Raku Pottery 101 Students will work with both hand building and wheel throwing techniques in this series of classes that will teach students how to make functional objects that they can actually use.  Then they will have the oppotunity to fire their objects in an outdoor kiln!

PM: Learning from the Masters: Sculpture Students will look at master sculptors throughout times such as Michelangelo while making a miniature bust (a sculpture of a portrait).  Students will learn to work with an armeture, explore additive sculptureal processes and learn to convey accurate proportions.

August 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10.  Full Day Art camps run from 9:00am-3:30pm.  Morning classes are 9:00am-12:00pm, lunch from 12:00-12:30, and afternoon classes are from 12:30pm-3:30pm.

Cost:

Full Day Camp: $185 for Members or $260 for Non-Members.

Half Day (Week-long) Classes: $95 for Members or $130 for Non-Members.

Please note: Memberships are valid for one full calendar year.  Need to renew your membership in order to recieve the 40% price reduction rate for members?  Individual Membership is $50, Membership for 2 people $75 and Full Family Membership $100.
