K12 Gallery & TEJAS introduces “Artsy Chic & Vibe,” a collective themed-artist markets designed to bring the best of creative pop-ups in a dynamic show-and-sell indoor/ outdoor marketplace.

Four scheduled dates will debut in late summer and autumn ‘18 to help support local Dayton creatives. As artist popups showcase their talent, the themed markets highlight art medium classes taught at the creative art studio, K12 Gallery& TEJAS. There will be live demonstrations at each market that corresponds to the themed market. 

While you’re browsing to support local art, take a break and check out live music by local musicians at our indoor/outdoor stage and delicious local flavor provided by the area’s finest food truck vendors. K12 Gallery & TEJAS is located on the corner of S. Patterson and Jefferson Street-making it steps from convenient parking, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. 

 


 

UPCOMING MARKETS WILL BE HELD ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:

  • CREATIVE KIDS MARKET, Friday, August 3rd from 4pm-9pm 

As a First Friday event, this date is a premium time support local artists who inspire creative learning. The “Art in The City” kicks off our themed artist market featuring local creative youth and youth programs. Non-commission youth booths (youth from ages 8-19) are available for $5 to promote young entrepreneurs. While browsing the artist market, help us create an experimental outdoor interactive large scale painting complete with spray paint, balloons and squirt bottles.

 

  • HAIRY POTTERS, Friday, September 7th from 4-9pm

Hairy Potters Artist Market will offer handcrafted ceramic sculptures, jewelry, ornaments and much more While shopping, stop by for live demonstrations and a raku firing, where participants will use horse hair to create amazing glaze efforts. 

 

  • PRINT MAKERS MENAGERIE, Saturday, September 15th from 10am-4pm

EXTRA! EXTRA! Stop by the Printmakers Menagerie to shop “All Things printmaking.” The market will showcase screen printing, digital art, photography, photomontage, 3D printing, jewelry, mono and multi-media printmaking and More-Live Print making and alternative photography processes demonstrations.   

 

  • HOT GLASS GALORE, Saturday, September 22nd from 10am-4pm

Feel the heat as the themed artist market features the finest in quality glass art. Buy and sell mosaic, fused glass, hot glass and more. Stop in our studios and visit a glass blower moving molten glass as well how-to stained glass demos.

 


 

CALL TO ARTISTS! Artist Market Vendor Applications are available here. Applications are due two (2) weeks prior to the market date with season pass vendor discounts available for artists participating for all four market dates. Three booth photos and application fee are required at time of submission. Applications for food truck vendors are accepted online via invitation.
