Jerri Stanard, M.A.Ed Founder & Executive Director

Jerri began K12 Gallery & TEJAS as K12 Gallery for Young People in September 1993. She holds a MA in Art Education from the University of Dayton and a BFA from Wright State University. Jerri loves children and everything connected to creative intelligence. In 2008, Jerri won the honor of the Pamela Houk award from The Dayton Art Institute for her tenacity for furthering art education. In 2002, Jerri was recognized as one of the Dayton Daily News Top Ten Women of Dayton for K12 Gallery, her community contributions, and her numerous art awards. In 2000, Jerri won the Ohio Arts Council’s Emerging Leader Award. Jerri began her artist career as an art teacher for the Dayton Public Schools and later joined the Sinclair Community College staff as a gallery coordinator. Through her tenacious vision and tireless work ethic, she has guided K12 Gallery & TEJAS through it's growth over the last 25 years.

Rebecca Sargent, MFA Program Director

Rebecca is an artist, educator and arts administrator. She received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and her BFA from Wright State University. Rebecca joined the K12 Gallery & TEJAS team full time in 2012, after teaching part time since 2000. In addition to coordinating TEJAS Gallery exhibitions and on site programming, Rebecca teaches painting and drawing classes, the Artist in Training Afterschool Program and the AP Studio Arts Program.  In her artwork, Rebecca creates oil paintings and mixed media pieces that depict abstract structures and spaces.

Tammi Meier, MBA   Finance Director

Tammi received her Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Wright State University where she also earned her Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Business Management.  Tammi joined K12 Gallery & TEJAS in 2014, serving as Finance Director.  Her experience spans 25 years in both corporate and non-profit accounting and finance.  In her current role at K12 Gallery & TEJAS, her focus is on financial planning, auditing, payroll tax compliance, Human Resources and day-to-day accounting operations.

Rebecca Cantrell, MA, ABA, MPA, CNP  Development & Marketing Director

Rebecca received a post-baccalaureate certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and earned her Master's in Public Administration with a Nonprofit Management concentration from Wright State University.  She holds an MA in Applied Behavioral Science.  As Development and Marketing Director, her principal charge is to create numerous, efficient, and compelling opportunities for donors to support K12 Gallery & TEJAS - making their experience of giving satisfying and rewarding.

Talia Shade, M.A.Ed Art Education & Services Manager

Talia holds a Masters in Art Education from Wright State University along with a PK-12 Visual Arts Education Licensure through the Ohio Department of Education.  Talia completed her Bachelor's of Fine Arts at Wright State University with a focus in painting and a minor in art history after earning an Associates of Fine Arts at Sinclair Community College, where she is currently an Adjunct Instructor teaching Drawing & Art Appreciation.  At K12 Gallery & TEJAS, her role focus is community outreach, education services and the Artist-In-Residence (AIR) program.
