Glass Sampler: July 28th; 9:30AM-Noon
Explore some of the different processes utilized when working with glass! This sampler class will teach you how to create pendants and art tiles from fused glass (adhering and melting glass in kiln). Next you’ll create beads and small sculptures while learning “lampworking”, a technique of melting glass over flames. Finally, you will try your hand in a day of glass blowing, creating your own stamped pendants.
*Class limited to 8 students
PLEASE BE ADVISED: This is a high intensity class, so we ask that any student signing up for this class please adhere to the following requirements. If a student comes to class without the following bolded items, they will not be permitted to enter the Hot Glass studio:
- Students must wear closed toed shoes
- Students must wear jeans, shorts will not be accepted
- Students must bring water
- A light, long sleeved shirt is not required, but recommended
*Technical issues may occur in the hot glass studio. Supplemental plans will be added as needed.
