Digital Art & Photography: July 20-24; 9:30-3:00

AM: Digital Photography Compose, shoot and edit digital photographs.  Every image we see in the media today is created using digital photography and image editing software.  Whether you are considering becoming a photographer or are curious about how it all works, this camp will give you a dive into the fundamentals.  You will learn how to create stunning digital photographs and enhance imagery in Adobe Photoshop.  You will first build your digital photo techniques then you will develop software and editing skills.  By the end of the camp, you will have a portfolio of awesome photos to show off.

PM: Digital Art & Digital Painting Create digital art using Wacom drawing tablets and pens. This camp is designed to help you learn the fundamentals of digital painting and drawing. Working with Wacom drawing tablets, Adobe Photoshop and other software, students will learn to develop their own collection of digital paintings.  This camp will cover: silhouettes, sketching, refinement through layers, facial anatomy and expressions, realistic vs stylized anatomy, gesture drawing, thumbnails, storytelling, perspective, color and rendering.  You will also create magnets and stickers of their artwork that can be sold at the Creative Kids Artist Market at the end of the summer.

Weekly Summer Camp Schedule:
Monday through Friday:
8:30-9:30 Before Care
9:30-12:00 Morning Studio Class
12:00-12:30 Lunch Break
12:30-3:00 Afternoon Studio Class
3:30-5:30 After Care

Students are encouraged to align with the camp of their rising grade.  Parents are required to complete an Emergency Medical Form SAC 2020. Students should wear clothes that can get messy.  Campers should bring an insulated sack lunch, beverages, and snacks every day.  Each week, camps will culminate in a Friday Art Party, where students will share the artwork they have created throughout the week.  Friends and family are invited to bring a snack to share and enjoy the artwork from 2:30-3:00pm.

Students will explore local parks and Dayton landmarks during off-site field trips for students on Wednesdays from 11:30-1:30.

Summer Camp Pricing:
6th-12th Grade Camps: $210 for Members or $350 for Non-Members

Before & After Care Pricing:
Full Week before care (8:30-9:30am): $65
Full Week after care (3:00-5:00): $125
Full Week both before and after care: $195
