AM: Manga & Fantasy Figure Drawing Are you always drawing manga or anime characters in your sketchbook?  Learn techniques to take your drawings and illustrations to the next level.  Techniques covered will be body construction, proportion, developing the dynamics of face and the art of exaggeration.  You’ll come up with your own characters while using pencils, micron pens, markers and watercolors.  You’ll also learn new techniques from other master artists.  Make magnets, stickers and copies of your artwork to sell at the Creative Kids Market at the end of Summer.

PM: Sequential Art: Comic Book Illustration Develop a visual concept through sequential art which is the largest growing industry within the world of book publishing today.  You will explore visual storytelling techniques that include storyboard development, page layout, perspective, camera angles, dramatic lighting, lettering and inking techniques.  After developing these skills, you will create your own comic book or graphic novel pages.  You’ll also have a visit from a local well known storyboard artist.  Finally, make extra copies of your comic book or graphic novel to sell at the Creative Kids Artist Market at the end of Summer.
