Photography Boot camp: June 22-26; 9:30-3:00

AM: Darkroom Photography Combine science, experimentation and art. Learn the craft of darkroom photography while working with a 35mm camera.  Learn about lighting and composition, while shooting, processing your own film and printing your own photographs.  You’ll also explore alternative process photography, techniques that utilize the darkroom but no camera.  You’ll create your own pinhole cameras that capture an image, create lumen prints and cyanotypes and learn to paint with light while creating chemigrams. You’ll also create sunprints on t-shirts and aprons that you can sell at the Creative Kids Artist Market at the end of the summer. Class size limited to 14.

PM: Digital Photography Compose, shoot and edit digital photographs.  Every image we see in the media today is created using digital photography and image editing software.  Whether you are considering becoming a photographer or are curious about how it all works, this camp will give you a dive into the fundamentals.  You will learn how to create stunning digital photographs and enhance imagery in Adobe Photoshop.  You will first build your digital photo techniques then you will develop software and editing skills.  By the end of the camp, you will have a portfolio of awesome photos to show off.  You’ll also have the opportunity to print extra copies of your artwork if your interested in selling them at the Creative Kids Artist Market at the end of Summer.
