Film & Animation: July 27-31; 9:30-3:00

AM: Videos & YouTube Content Creation Create a YouTube channel from scratch, learn the fundamentals of using YouTube, discover strategies for creating interesting content around your specific passion or interest and more!   Learn planning, filming, editing and uploading fundamentals.  Explore software programs such as Photoshop, programs to create Gif’s and more.  Invite your family and friends to join us for a mini-film festival on Friday to view your films created this week.  Class size limited to 14.

PM: Stop Motion Animation & Gifs Stop motion animation creates an illusion of movement that brings ordinary objects to life.  Learn to create a short film that not only animates an object, but actually tells a story.  Design your own characters from clay and/or found objects and bring them to life using Stop Motion Animation. Create a storyboard and turn it into a short film using your hand-crafted characters in environments, which you will create from magazines, illustrations, patterned paper, found objects and paint.  Learn animation software that will import your digital photographs and turn them into the short film.  Class size limited to 14.

Weekly Summer Camp Schedule:
Monday through Friday:
8:30-9:30 Before Care
9:30-12:00 Morning Studio Class
12:00-12:30 Lunch Break
12:30-3:00 Afternoon Studio Class
3:30-5:30 After Care

Students are encouraged to align with the camp of their rising grade.  Parents are required to complete an Emergency Medical Form SAC 2020. Students should wear clothes that can get messy.  Campers should bring an insulated sack lunch, beverages, and snacks every day.  Each week, camps will culminate in a Friday Art Party, where students will share the artwork they have created throughout the week.  Friends and family are invited to bring a snack to share and enjoy the artwork from 2:30-3:00pm.

Students will explore local parks and Dayton landmarks during off-site field trips for students on Wednesdays from 11:30-1:30.

Summer Camp Pricing:
6th-12th Grade Camps: $210 for Members or $350 for Non-Members

Before & After Care Pricing:
Full Week before care (8:30-9:30am): $65
Full Week after care (3:00-5:00): $125
Full Week both before and after care: $195
