Jewelry POP UP: Intro to Small Metals/Copper Cuff Bracelets (Saturday, October 31 & November 14)

Description
In this limited-time creative experience, students will fully fabricate a copper cuff-style bracelet/bangle while learning common tool use and safety for small metalsmithing. This includes the basic properties of copper and its alloys, cutting techniques, material manipulation through hammering and stamping, annealing work-hardened metal, using dapping punches to form the cuff to shape, removing flame oxidation, and polishing the final piece with a flexshaft. Beads will be available for additional embellishment, if desired.
All standard beads, supplies, and base metal findings are provided—just bring your creativity! Classes run from 11:00-1:00pm. Come prepared with a receipt of your purchase on hand for check in!
IMPORTANT: Jewelry Pop Ups require an 8 student minimum to operate. Classes without sufficient preregistration will not be held. We’d love to have you join us! However, if no students preregister at least one day in advance, same-day and at-the-door registration will not be available.
