Block 2: Functional Canisters & Lidded Forms
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter, our welcoming studio and skilled instructors will guide you through the art of ceramics. This four-week block focuses on canisters and other lidded forms—jars, boxes, and vessels that close with a well-fitted lid—while still leaving room to follow your own idea. You can work on the featured projects or go your own way and receive guided instruction on the piece of your choice.
Explore wheel-throwing, hand-building, lid fitting, and glazing as you craft unique, functional pieces and connect with a community of makers. Come shape, create, and have fun with clay!
This session’s focus: Core techniques in caliper matching, gallery rims, and coil/slab boxes with locking bezels.

October 26: Dedicated glazing session for all Block 2 bisque ware
All supplies and materials are included for your fun-filled creative experience! Classes run from 4:00–6:00pm. Come prepared with a receipt of your purchase on hand for check-in.

IMPORTANT: Weekday art classes require preregistration at least one day in advance. Classes without sufficient preregistration will not be held. We’d love to have you join us! However, if no students preregister at least one day in advance, same-day and at-the-door registration will not be available.
