Our Advanced Placement Studio Art Program Classes are open to students in Grades 11 & 12..
Classes meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00-6:00 pm
Classes begin Monday, September 9 and run through mid May 2020.
The AP program is a comprehensive, college-level course designed for High School Juniors or Seniors who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. Students will create a portfolio of art that has the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement credit, or both, while still in high school. The program will also help students navigate through the art competition, scholarship and university submission processes.
The AP program not only addresses the wide scope of materials, processes and concepts, but also allows students to pursue their own interests in a specific area of art making. Each student will follow a curriculum that will strengthen their skills and talents while creating a portfolio of work that corresponds to most college level foundation courses.
The cost of the program is $1600 for the entire year (which equates to about $20 per class). Membership Required.
